Showcasing Destination One at ITB Berlin with a Custom Stand
ITB Berlin ranks among the world’s most prestigious travel and tourism trade shows, pulling together global brands, tourism boards, and industry leaders under one roof. With thousands of exhibitors all competing for the same attention, you need a presence that people actually remember.
Destination One came to us with a clear goal — to stand out in a fiercely competitive environment with a booth that felt true to their brand and genuinely drew people in. Whimsical Exhibits took on the challenge of designing and building a 40 sqm custom exhibition stand that would do exactly that.
We pulled it off despite tight timelines and last-minute confirmations. The final stand was visually striking, highly functional, and delivered real results on the show floor.
Challenges
The project for Destination One at ITB Berlin came with its own set of challenges right from the beginning. However, the confirmation came at the last minute, and we were left with very little room for planning and finalizing the design before we went into production. In addition to this, the deal also took a longer than expected timeframe to close, which further eroded the already short timeframe we had.
With the extremely short timeframe we had, decisions had to be made extremely quickly, coordination had to be flawless, and adaptability was a must. Of course, there were some design tweaks that came in throughout this process, and they had to be accommodated without impacting our deadline.
Execution
Given this very tight deadline, Whimsical Exhibits was quick to go from concept to execution. As soon as we got the go-ahead, our team was quick to get to work on a creative stand design that not only reflected the brand identity of Destination One but also ensured that it would turn heads on the crowded trade show floor.
We designed every centimetre of the 40 sqm space to ensure that we used every inch of that space and kept our visitors engaged from the moment they approached the stand. From the initial design to the very end, precision was our top priority. The entire build came together in just 4 days, giving us comfortable buffer time before the show opened.
Even when last-minute changes came in, we kept our focus and our standards. The finished stand delivered on all fronts — creative, clean, and genuinely inviting.
Client Feedback
Destination One was thrilled with how everything turned out. From the design process through to the final build, the client felt the experience matched their expectations.
On the show floor, the booth pulled in a strong stream of visitors, which is always the real measure of success. The layout and design worked together to draw people in and create the kind of environment where real conversations and business opportunities could happen.
One instance was particularly noteworthy: the client liked their branding elements so well that they decided to retain them for use back in their warehouse. This is not simply praise for a job well done; this is evidence of a project with real, lasting value.
Conclusion
The Destination One project for ITB Berlin represents what our team is capable of when given a challenge with high stakes and short timeframes. We overcame a late start and changing requirements to deliver a creative and impactful stand on time without sacrificing quality.
This project represents one of our core philosophies– exhibitions aren’t simply about looking good. Exhibitions are about combining creativity with efficiency and flexibility to actually get things done.
If you are attending a global trade show and want to ensure that your exhibition stand turns heads and stops people in their tracks? Then an exhibition partner is what makes all the difference. We would love to be your partner.
